Rubbish. User interface is a complete mystery. Speed can be measured in hours and days. Takes forever to open a single photo. Selecting a picture from a 4k burst is like watching grass grow, with your computer freezing for a few minutes after every click.
I got a new computer. Photofunstudio worked perfectly on the old one. Both use Windows 10. I cannot copy from my camera on the new computer. After the photos show up and I click Next, nothing happens. The window freezes. Even X to close does not work. Any suggests
I've downloaded the program and it doesn't work. file:///C:/Users/Helen/Downloads/Photofunstudio/pfs52hdwebup-l126-e.exe
During setup, it stops with a popup saying it has not been installed. Try again after install. The update will be terminated.
Why is version 8 (dated 2012) not available yet?
I have a very old version (2003) of FotoFun STudio.
With the old disc it is not working on my new Samsung lap top.
Do you have a suggestion how I can I get a new version?
I need Panasonic Lumix-DMC- FZ40 software. My camera is a 2010 model. Trying to get free download of Photo Fun Studio 5.0 without success. Misplaced my dvd software when moving. Was Windows 7 . I hope you will help. Thanks in advance.
I just got the camera and am reading your comments. Do you mean there is no way to download my pictures to Microsoft Photo Gallery as I did with my Cannon and Olympus? Would make me want to return it before I start using it
The Japanese camera makers are totally clueless when it comes to software. There are so many problems with the functionality, the user experience (UX), compatibility with their own hardware, and quality control. Some of this is seen in the design of the cameras themselves, with their non-intuitive super-deep menu systems and obscure operational conventions, and of course, the PC software supporting the product's fancier features is far, far worse.
I don't think any of these manufacturers actually test the software with real users to see how they like it. To do so would be "an insult" to the engineers, who would lose face to have a "mere" user comment on how bad their design really is!
This software is an absolute shocker. I just shot 8,311 frames of timelapse over 12 hours, split into 5 blocks due to the need to swap in a fresh battery. When imported from the SD card to the software, Photofun proved absolutely incapable of treating the whole 5 folders of frames as a single timelapse. Selecting all of the folders then choosing playback did no more than playing the files in the first folder. Hopefully Quicktime 7 pro will do the job.
A totally frustrating experience.
The program automatically duplicated all of the photos on my PC and if I delete one from the Phtofun program, it's been also deleted from my original PC file. Have tried copying them to a USB drive that had ample space but it told me there was insufficient space.
I only downloaded the program from the included disc because there was no way of viewing the few video clips I shot except on my camera screen...and there still isn't!
I converted the HD files to MP4 using the program's included conversion function, and they don't play either. I need to know how to keep all my original photos but ditch them from this over-complex and difficult program.
I'd absolutely rename the program and the result would not include the word "fun"!
Two of my folders have disappeared, I have not deleted them, they have just vanished. Can anyone help me, does anyone have any ideas how I can get them back?
